Some of the images remembered are gathered from pictures I have looked through as a child and into adulthood. The sounds and taste of my childhood I recall from memories awakened by visuals in the home and experiences we were afforded. I can remember meals, and scents that filled the air . The sound of my dad turning the pages of the newspaper on Saturday morning, of laughter in the kitchen with my mom and dad as they rehearsed their week, and shared stories of work, life and family.
There are so many things that come alive, as I interact with my own family. Life happens as we are understanding those closest to us, and the world around us. The question that rings true for me, and I believe was at the center of my dad's thought life is to ask ourselves, have I fulfilled the plan of God for my life? I believe my father did, because it's evident in what he left behind. He left a legacy that can carry on his vision and heart for others. He gave us himself, fully disclosed and in the rawest state there was, a state of purity of sincerity. Nothing witheld. He gave us love, kindest, frankness, direction, correction and desire.
So it is to this legacy, I write and share his story, through his legacy of love. Join me as I journey through his life, and tell the stories that uncover the true legacy he left. A family unit whole and complete and ready to create a new world of opportunities and possibilities.
Join me on the journey.
